Investment Week celebrates growth of sustainable sector

Sustainable investment is a growing trend in the UK market, which has the second-largest sustainable investment industry in the world, according to the UKSIF.

While many investors are aware of sustainable investing in terms of the environment, its remit extends far beyond this. Most sustainable funds use the ESG model, seeking to have positive environmental, social and governance impacts. Sustainable investing is not a new sector either; F&C launched the first European ethical investing fund thirty years ago. Yet recently the sector has picked up the pace and most of the largest fund management houses now offer opportunities to invest sustainably.
