Adam Parker, one of the co-founders of Majedie Asset Management, is retiring after 27 years in the fund management industry.
Parker (pictured) will step down from his current role on 30 June 2015, but will continue to act as a consultant to Majedie on small-cap corporate governance issues. He is currently co-managing the UK Smaller Companies fund with Richard Staveley, who will take over full management of the fund during the transition process. Parker was a member of the alpha team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock), a role he left in 2002 to help establish Majedie together with James de Uphaugh, Chris Field, Rob Harris, and Simon Hazlitt.
