GARS rivals grow as Aviva Investors adds income fund to multi-strategy range

Aviva Investors has launched an income-focused multi-strategy fund, the second in its range of multi-asset products to rival GARS.

The AIMS (Aviva Investors multi-strategy) Target Income fund aims to provide annual income of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, before corporation tax, paid on a monthly basis. Run as an unconstrained portfolio, the fund will also target half the level of volatility of global equities. The new fund forms part of a strategy announced by the business after former Standard Life Investments multi-asset chief Euan Munro joined as CEO at the beginning of the year.
