Mark Roomans has been promoted to chief executive of Morningstar UK as Geoff Balzano steps back to focus on his role as head of adviser solutions.
Balzano joined Morningstar in 2001 and has been chief executive of the UK business since 2007. He was made head of adviser solutions, EMEA, last year. The management shake-up also extends to Morningstar’s global investment management business - CIO Daniel Needham has been appointed president of the Morningstar Investment Management group and will relocate from London to Chicago later this year. Roomans (pictured), who most recently served as co-CEO for Morningstar Australasia, has also been with the business for 14 years, with recent positions also including COO for Morningstar Europe...
