A trio of AXA managers have joined Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) as the group brings in-house a £1.6bn property portfolio it has acquired since taking over the Co-operative Asset Management.
RLAM has taken control of the property assets from AXA Real Estate, which had previously been running the Co-operative Asset Management's property funds on an outsourced basis. The transfer will expand the team's commercial property remit from £3.4bn to over £5bn. Three former members of the AXA Real Estate team have joined RLAM to support the existing team in managing the new volume of assets.
