Unicorn & OMGI take top honours in first Fund Management Index

Research firm FundCalibre has ranked Unicorn as the top-performing equity house of the past five years, with Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) topping a ranking of generalist managers.

Using data from FE, FundCalibre's first Fund Management Index calculates the average outperformance, relative to peers, of asset managers' equity funds over the five years to 18 December 2014. Groups must have a minimum of four eligible funds to be included. Unicorn Asset Management tops the list, the strong performance of its four eligible portfolios meaning its average fund outperformed peers by 50.9% over the past five years.
