Vestra Wealth's Mackie joins Brooks Macdonald

Brooks Macdonald Asset Management has appointed Vestra Wealth's Jim Mackie as an investment management director.

Mackie was an investment manager on Vestra's model portfolio range for six years, and sat on the firm's platform investment committee.  He has previously held posts at Cheviot Investment Management, UBS, and HSBC. In his new role, he will support the management of the firm's five diversified portfolios and the four risk-rated fund of funds run by Brooks Macdonald Funds. Mackie's appointment is part of an expansion of the firm's model portfolio team following growing adviser demand for outsourced solutions.
