BlackRock has hired Deborah Winshel as managing director and global head of impact investing as it launches a dedicated platform for investors with social and environmental criteria.
Winshel joins from The Robin Hood Foundation, a charitable organisation, where she was president and chief operations officer. In her new role she will report jointly to Laurence Fink, BlackRock's chairman and CEO, and Richard Kushel, chief product officer. She will be responsible for the launch of BlackRock Impact, a new platform catering to investors with social or environmental objectives, as well as BlackRock's Global Corporate Philanthropy programme.
