Schroders AUM reaches £300bn mark after record year

Schroders has posted record results for 2014, with inflows of £25bn pushing the group's total assets under management to the £300bn mark.

The group said it was a "record year" as overall profits before tax jumped 16% to £517m, its multi-asset offering drew in £17bn of new client business and its wealth management arm saw profits soar 80%. Schroders also hiked its dividend by 34% to 78p a share. However, the group did warn 2015 is looking more volatile and this may impact investors' appetite.
