As inflation in the UK hits zero for the first time on record, industry experts share their views on what this means for the UK economy and investors.

Figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) this morning revealed a 12-month CPI inflation rate of 0.0%, down from 0.3% in January and below economists' expectations of 0.1%. Below, commentators, economists and analysts assess whether the figure represents good news, bad news, or a little of both.
