Former Threadneedle manager John Peta has joined Old Mutual Global Investors to head its emerging market debt team.
Peta, who left Threadneedle at the start of 2014, is the latest hire for OMGI as CEO Julian Ide (pictured) seeks a rapid expansion of the firm's fund management reach. Peta spent two years at Threadneedle, working alongside Henry Stipp at the head of its EMD team, having previously worked at Arcadian Asset Management and a number of other US asset managers. He will initially manage the $150m Old Mutual Local Currency Emerging Market Debt fund as of 20 April.
