RWC hires EM duo in bid to build 15-strong division

RWC has hired two emerging markets managers from beleaguered US hedge fund firm Everest Capital, paving the way for a significant expansion involving its first offices overseas and several new products.

RWC chief Dan Mannix (pictured) confirmed John Malloy, formerly director of investments at Everest, has already joined to head up the team. Fellow Everest director of investments James Johnstone will join in a few weeks. Malloy worked at Barings and Fidelity prior to joining Everest in 1996, while Johnstone had spells at Schroders and Gartmore before moving to the hedge fund in 2009.
