A Shariah-compliant Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) fund has been launched by Portillion Capital aimed at tapping into the "disenfranchised" UK Muslim investor base.
The new fund gives all investors the opportunity to invest in companies that follow ethical guidelines and procedures, but it is specifically aimed at the 4 million UK Muslims that otherwise have been unable to invest to date in SEIS funds. Portillion’s partner in managing the fund is SEIS investment specialist Seed Mentors which will find and carry out due diligence on potential investee companies and provide ongoing support and mentoring.
