Emerging market specialist Charlemagne Capital has formed a joint venture with Iranian group Turquoise Partners to launch products offering access to the country's stock market.
The announcement comes days after a tentative diplomatic deal aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions. The 'framework' international agreement paves the way for sanctions on the Middle East state to be lifted later this year. Charlemagne said its joint venture with Iranian private sector financial services group Turquoise is based on a belief Iran represents "one of the best emerging market investment opportunities of recent times".
