Global trusts attracted the highest level of interest on the Association of Investment Companies'(AIC) website in the first quarter of this year.

Scottish Mortgage, which invests in global equities and is managed by Baillie Gifford, topped the chart with the most viewed profile page of any investment company on the trade body's website. The AIC's global sectors performed particularly well over the period, with six of the twenty most viewed company profile pages belonging to vehicles in these areas. Several investment trusts saw their views rise rapidly year-on-year including European Assets, which rose from twelfth to third in the rankings, and Foreign & Colonial which increased from eighteenth to ninth.
