PIMCO's global equities CIO Virginie Maisonneuve is to leave the firm just 18 months after joining the group, as it closes two equity funds.
Maisonneuve (pictured) left her previous role at Schroders in October 2013 after nine years to join PIMCO as CIO of global equities. Following her move, PIMCO announced plans to launch a number of new equity funds in a bid to expand its coverage of the asset class. However, the bond giant is now set to narrow its equity investment range, closing its Emerging Markets fund, which was run by Maisonneuve, and Pathfinder, a value proposition managed by Anne Gudefin.
