Sanlam Private Investments' chief investment officer Richard Champion has ended his 11-year stint at the firm in order to take a senior role at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
Champion is to join the wealth business as deputy chief investment officer, and will play a key role managing assets in the firm's onshore discretionary client portfolios. He will work closely with longstanding CIO and industry veteran Nigel Cuming, Canaccord added. Champion's 11 years at Sanlam encompassed significant responsibilities such as helping develop and launch the firm's unified investment proposition.
