Aberdeen joins forces with pensions consultancy for D2C push

Aberdeen Asset Management is to partner with pensions consultancy Hymans Robertson for a service which will see it use the firm's technology to target direct investors for the first time.

The new partnership will see Aberdeen offer its range directly to a wide range of individual investors in the UK through Hymans Robertson's online technology solution GO. GO is built on the pension consultant's actuarial expertise and has already analysed the savings plans of 400,000 individuals, bringing over £2bn of assets under advice in the past year. The collaboration marks the first time this technology will be available outside the workplace DC pensions market, as Aberdeen makes a push into the D2C space.
