F&C hires former iShares MD to spearhead ETF push

F&C has hired former iShares managing director Marc Knowles to head up its passives push as the group prepares to launch a trio of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The fund house, which will be rebranded as BMO Global Asset Management next month, has begun making headway with its move into the ETF space, having first flagged its intention to do so last year. Its first three products, due to launch in Q4 2015, will be a trio of smart beta ETFs: a core equity offering with an income bias, a global corporate bond offering with duration options, and a global high yield offering.
