Figures from the AIC show that 45% of investment trusts have now had the same manager for at least a decade, with a select few having been in charge for a quarter century.
The Association of Investment Companies noted earlier this week that a fifth of trusts have changed manager over the past 18 months, but equally there remain a significant number who have been at the helm of their portfolios for extended periods of time. Of the 186 investment companies in existence for ten years or more, 83 have had the same manager for at least a decade. A total of 35 have had the same manager for 15 years, while 21 have retained the same manager for at least two decades.
