AXA Investment Managers has hired two senior members to its EMD team as its head of emerging markets fixed income Damien Buchet departs.
Buchet is leaving the group to pursue a new opportunity, to be replaced on his AWF Emerging Market Short Duration and AWF Global Emerging Market Bonds funds by new hire Sailesh Lad. Lad joins the group from a previous role at Ignis Asset Management as senior portfolio manager, and will be the lead on both funds, subject to regulatory approval. The group has also hired Olga Fedotova from UniCredit, where she had managed a team of credit analysts covering emerging market issuers since 2012. She will begin her new role in August.
