Wealth managers to be biggest beneficiaries of rate hike - Liberum

UK wealth management firms would see more benefit from an interest rate rise than any other companies in the financial sector, according to research from Liberum Capital.

The firm's financials analyst Justin Bates (pictured) said the likes of Hargreaves Lansdown, Rathbones and Brewin Dolphin would see a significant boost to profits once interest rates in the UK rise. The first increase in interest rates is widely expected to happen in the early part of next year, expectations having been pushed back yet again at the start of 2015.
