Pictet AM aims to overhaul European peers with UK push

Pictet Asset Management is gearing up for a major push into the UK market and plans to add other onshore funds to its newly-launched multi-asset offering, according to deputy CEO Laurent Ramsey.

Speaking to Investment Week, the recently appointed partner (pictured) of the group outlined ambitious plans to expand Pictet AM’s presence in the UK market. “We want to be the leading non Anglo-Saxon manager in the UK,” he said. “Many European managers have tried, but very few have managed to penetrate the UK.” The Europeans are coming: Push into UK funds market continues apace European firms have accelerated their drive into the UK retail fund space over the past couple of years, with many expanding their marketing and distribution efforts in London.
