Legg Mason has integrated eight Martin Currie equity funds into its ICVC fund range, in a move that brings all its subsidiaries under one umbrella in the UK.
The US group merged eight active equity funds managed by Martin Currie, which it acquired last October, into its UK OEIC range on 26 June. The Martin Currie funds have £500m in total assets, covering European and global equity income, as well as Chinese, Asia Pacific, global, US, emerging market and Japanese equities. Andy Sowerby, head of sales, marketing and client service at Martin Currie, said the merger would reduce ongoing charges for investors.
