Hermes hires head of private debt in product push

Hermes has appointed Patrick Marshall as head of private debt and CLOs, as it looks to develop its offering in the area.

Marshall will be responsible for building Hermes' business in the leveraged loan, private debt and Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) markets across the globe. He joins from independent French firm Tikehau Investment Management, which specialises in private debt and real estate, where he was responsible for developing the firm's direct lending activities in London and setting up a CLO program for Tikehau as first time issuer.
