Summer Budget: Tories consider fresh savings overhaul; reform divi taxation

Chancellor George Osborne is to publish a green paper seeking feedback on a plan to make "pensions more like ISAs".

In today's Budget, Osborne said the government will not neglect those who are beginning to save for a pension. He suggested earners could pay into a pension with taxed income, receive a top-up from the government and then remove money tax-free - in keeping with the current ISA regime. The plans require "careful and public consideration", Osborne said.
