Barings hires two for multi-asset team ahead of Kos departure

Barings has hired two senior additions to its multi-asset team as its develops a new long/short fund.

James Ind will join Barings in September from his role as portfolio manager at GLG, where he has worked since July 2013. He will lead the development of a long/short strategy, based on the work asset manager's Strategic Policy Group (SPG).  Ind has previously worked as a managing director at Russell Investments and director of portfolio management at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Merrick Styles, who will join in October, will work as lead manager of the Baring Euro Dynamic Asset Allocation fund, replacing Hartwig Kos who is departing Barings after three years.
