Prudential poaches JPMAM manager as head of multi-asset research

Prudential has hired David Shairp as head of research for its Prudential Portfolio Management Group (PPMG).

The position is a newly-created role, which will see Shairp be responsible for managing and developing Prudential's research and asset allocation process. He joins from J.P.Morgan Asset Management where he was managing director, portfolio manager and a member of the global strategy team. Prior to this, he was head of research at BNP Paribas. PPMG, Prudential's asset management business, looks after over £155bn of Prudential's investments, including the £76bn With-Profits fund.
