SLI expands absolute return team as ex-Ignis CIO exits

Standard Life Investments has appointed Shayne Dunlap co-manager of the Absolute Return Government Bond fund as former Ignis CIO Chris Fellingham leaves the firm.

Dunlap is moving to SLI from Mizuho Corporate Bank to co-manage the £646m Absolute Return Government Bond fund, which was previously run by Russ Oxley before he left the firm for Old Mutual Global Investors. His appointment coincides with the departure of former Ignis CIO Fellingham (pictured), who joined Ignis in 2010 and has remained at the firm to ensure a smooth handover, as well as working on the fund. The newly appointed co-manager will be joined on the team by his former colleague at the bank, Richard Marshall. Both will report to Guy Stern, SLI's head of multi-asset management...
