Royal London hires ex-pensions minister Webb as director of policy

Former pensions minister Steve Webb has confirmed he is to join Royal London as director of policy and external communications.

Webb (pictured) will join Royal London in November in the newly created role, which will see him work with the business to develop policy on a range of issues, including long-term savings and protection to financial capability He will also oversee the public relations and public affairs functions within Royal London and act as a spokesperson for the group.
