Buxton becomes CEO of OMGI in management shake-up

Richard Buxton is to become the chief executive of Old Mutual Global Investors as Julian Ide steps down after four years.

Buxton (pictured) will assume the position of chief executive in tandem with the fund management of the £2.4bn Old Mutual UK Alpha portfolio. He is replacing Ide, who is stepping down after four years at the helm of the firm. Meanwhile, Martin Baines, former chief executive of Quilter Cheviot, will become chief investment director of Old Mutual Wealth, while David Loudon will take over as chief executive at Quilter Cheviot.
