Mirabaud Asset Management has recruited former Standard Life Investments' (SLI) manager Ken Nicholson to launch a European small- and mid-cap strategy.
The manager will run two funds for the group, one newly-launched and one existing product, after he arrives on 21 September. Nicholson (pictured) left his post as manager of the SLI European Smaller Companies SICAV in July last year, after a 15-year stint working in the team alongside head of UK smaller companies Harry Nimmo. He ran the group's European small-cap fund since launch in 2007 but decided to take a break from fund management last year and quit the firm.
