UK investors are ramping up portfolio exposure to their home market, with flows into UK equity funds reaching £719m in August, according to the latest figures from the Investment Association.
This inflow figure marks a significant jump from the £35m invested in the region in August the previous year, as well as the average £13m outflows the asset class has experienced over the past 12 months. The jump in sales could indicate investors are seeing stronger opportunities in the UK stockmarket and have taken advantage of recent share price dips.
