Lazard AM launches European Alternatives fund

First fund for Henderson hire Arminjon

Lazard Asset Management has launched a European Alternative UCITS fund for former Henderson fund manager Leopold Arminjon, who joined earlier this year.

The fund will be managed from London with the support of portfolio manager Nitin Arora, who recently joined Lazard from HSBC, where he was a lead equity research analyst. It aims to achieve growth by investing in a liquid portfolio of approximately 60 long and short positions in European large- and mid-cap companies. Lazard to merge UK Alpha fund into Custis' UK Omega Arminjon joined Lazard in June from Henderson Global Investors, where he was lead portfolio manager of both the Henerson Horizon Pan-European Alpha fund and the Alphagen Tucana fund.
