Smith & Williamson Investment Management has appointed Ian Kenny (pictured) as head of fixed interest with immediate effect, as Chris Lynas retires after 25 years with the group.

Kenny, who started his career with S&W in 1997, has been co-managing the £457m Short-Dated Corporate Bond and the £5.7m Medium-Dated Corporate Bond funds with Lynas since their launches in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Kenny will now be supported by Thomas Wells. Lynas, who joined the company in 1990, also manages the £31m Fixed Interest trust which he is passing to co-manager John Anderson. He is also named co-manager on the £2.3m Global Government Bond fund, which will be run by the fixed interest team and the £11.1m Absolute Return fund. S&W's Rosengarten: We are an alternative t...
