BlackRock slashes fees on Hambro's World Mining trust

BlackRock has cut the management fee on Evy Hambro's World Mining trust to 0.8% and simplified its charging structure.

Previously the trust, co-managed by Hambro (pictured) and Olivia Markham, used a tiered pricing rate. It charged 1.2% on assets up to £500m, 1% on the next £500m and 0.85% on assets above £1bn.  It has now switched to a single charge across all asset sizes, with no performance fee. This is the second fee change the trust has made this year, which reflects increased pressure following poor performance, according to analysts at Numis.
