Nick Train said he would like to see the Finsbury Growth & Income trust hit the FTSE 100 within the next ten to 15 years, and plans to remain at the helm during that time.
The trust, which he has managed since 2000, entered the FTSE 250 earlier this year, but Train (pictured) said he does not intend to stop at this hurdle. Speaking at Frostrow Capital's 2015 Autumn Investment Seminar, Train said: "If I can see the trust in the FTSE 100 within the next ten to 15 years, that would suit my investment career nicely." He added that even if he was not the manager of the trust, he would still be pleased to see it among the top UK blue chips in the index.
