Jupiter to launch Asian Income fund for Pidcock on 1 December

Jupiter is planning to launch an Asian Income fund for new recruit Jason Pidcock on 1 December, Investment Week understands.

The launch follows news in May that Pidcock (pictured) had left his role at the helm of the £4.4bn Newton Asian Income fund to join Jupiter later in the year. It was announced Pidcock would help build a new Asian Income strategy at the group, given his previous expertise. At the time, Jupiter said the new fund will follow an income-based, larger-cap investment strategy.  The fund launch remains subject to approval by the regulator, but is slated for 1 December.
