Funds handed to Harry Nimmo

Caspar Trenchard, manager of Standard Life Investments UK Opportunities fund, has left the firm, with Harry Nimmo taking over his fund on an interim basis.

Trenchard (pictured) joined the firm in 2007 in the UK smaller companies team, moving from First State Investments where he had managed the British Opportunities fund. He went on to manage the £135m SLI UK Opportunities fund, as well as the £38m SLI Ignis Smaller Companies fund, which he began running last August when SLI acquired Ignis Asset Management.  You're hired!
