Miton hires second European manager ahead of fund launch

New fund expected by end of 2015

Miton has recruited a second manager for its upcoming European fund launch, following the hire of Carlos Moreno earlier this year.

Thomas Brown joins Miton from Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management where he co-managed the European Value & Momentum fund. He previously worked together with Moreno at Thames River Capital, where he was an analyst and assistant fund manager on the pan-European equities team. Moreno joined Miton from J O Hambro Capital Management this summer after the closure of his All Europe fund at JOHCM. Miton intends to launch the European equities fund by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approval. This has been brought forward by the firm, which initially planned the launch for 2016.
