Six fund management houses were among those receiving a coveted Gold Standard Award at a ceremony in the House of Commons.

The awards, now in their 13th year, reward financial services firms that can prove they have "strong, transparent structures and procedures in place". They also need to demonstrate they are going above and beyond standard practices to fulfill customer needs and help build a better, more sustainable financial services sector in the UK. The Gold Standard Awards not only take account of a company's capability to conduct business, but also assess standards of service, financial strength, fair value and trust, as well as governance and social responsibility.
