Pictet launches Asian total return fund

Pictet Asset Management has launched a market neutral Asian total return fund for lead manager James Kim.

Launched on 5 November, PTR-Phoenix is a UCITS IV compliant fund which combines long and short positions with the aim of neutralising market risk and generating alpha. It is the group's sixth total return vehicle. Kim will manage the fund from Singapore, alongside Tai Panich and Jing Wang. The fund will be run using the team's local insight and fundamental analysis to identify leading structural themes in Asia and assess their impact on industries and companies.
