The investment management industry is ripe for M&A activity, according to Deloitte, including the beginnings of consolidation in the platform sector.
In a new report entitled 2016 Financial Services M&A Predictions, the firm said the investment management sector would face "huge transformation" over the next five years. This would be due to both the pace of regulation and the impact of digital technology. It highlighted areas such as D2C propositions, robo-advice and digital channels as technology disruptors for the industry.
