Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management has appointed former head of private clients at Sanlam Private Investments, Charles Cohen, as a senior investment director for its London team.

Cohen will deliver discretionary portfolio management and advisory services to private clients, while broadening the company's centralised investment process. He started his career with Cazenove as a private client investment manager, before spending 13 years as an institutional stockbroker with UBS Warburg. In 2002, he returned to private client investment management with Border Asset Management, where he was a director and chief investment officer, with responsibility for growing funds under management and developing the firm's investment process.
