Peter Saacke has taken over the role of CIO at Artemis Fund Managers, as the group confirms Ruth Keattch is to retire within the next few months after almost four decades in the investment industry.
Saacke (pictured) was named CIO on 1 January after being an "understudy" to Keattch in the role "for some time", said a spokesperson for the group. He will continue to manage the £491m Global Growth fund he has run since January 2004. The group's spokesperson also highlighted the CIO role is different at the boutique from some other firms. Saacke will have three people reporting in to him overseeing front office, corporate governance and broker dealing/commission management.
