River & Mercantile is handing Philip Rodrigs his first multi-cap mandate at the firm as he takes over the rebranded UK Dynamic Equity fund from Dan Hanbury.
The £40m fund was previously known as UK Equity Unconstrained, and has been managed by Hanbury since 2007. However, Hanbury is stepping back from the lead role to become alternate manager as he focuses on the group's £248m UK Equity Income fund. As well as the change of name, the group will introduce the ability to use derivatives for risk management purposes. It will also reduce the annual management charge (AMC) on the clean retail share class from 1% to 0.75%, to bring it into line with similar products in the range.
