BlackRock has restructured the leadership of its investment business, combining all active equity strategies under one roof and expanding the multi-asset team.
The changes, which will be effective from 1 February, focus on the firm's global investment platform, but do not affect portfolio managers. The changes will see Rich Kushel promoted to head of the multi-asset strategies business, while Pierre Sarrau will be chief investment officer of the division, where the group sees "leading opportunities for growth" in the future. In fixed income, head of international fixed income Tim Webb will become global head of fixed income, while Rick Rieder will become chief investment officer of global fixed income.
