Charles Stanley has hired Jonathan Cunliffe as interim chief investment officer.

Cunliffe was previously head of fixed income and multi-asset investment strategy at Tesco Pensions Investments. Prior to this, Cunliffe worked at Aberdeen Asset Management, ABN Amro Asset Management and Lombard Odier. He will be based in Charles Stanley's London office until the firm has made a permanent appointment. Cunliffe will replace Paul Abberley, who was promoted to chief executive of the firm.
