Rathbones CIO Chillingworth steps back from funds

No change to investment philosophies

Rathbones' Julian Chillingworth is stepping back from his responsibilities as co-manager of the Rathbone Recovery and Blue Chip Income and Growth funds to allocate more time to his role as the group's CIO.

Chillingworth (pictured) will focus more of his time on strategic oversight of the entire Rathbones investment team and funds and take responsibility for its central research capability. The funds will continue to be run by existing co-managers and there will be no change to the investment philosophies or processes for either fund, the group said. Alan Dobbie, who has worked with Chillingworth for over a decade, will take sole responsibility for the £71m Blue Chip Income and Growth fund, having co-managed it since 2012.
