Parmenion founder Richard Mein has died aged 52 following a short battle with cancer.

He passed away on 16 January and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. Mein (pictured) opened discretionary fund manager and platform Parmenion for business in 2007 alongside a small team, several of whom still work at the company today. Rennie Miller, executive chairman at Parmenion, said: "Richard's fundamental belief was that financial services should be bought and not sold and he was mindful that the world over, people are looking for more modern and efficient means of buying products and services.
